Unlocking the Mysteries of Long COVID: Research in Full Swing

Scientists don’t know for sure what causes Long COVID, but the prevelance of the condition and the lack of answers has increased research studies looking for answers. ClinicalTrials.gov currently lists 386 trials under the search term Long COVID and comments that there is a desperate need for effective long COVID treatments.

COVID 19 is a coronavirus. The coronavirus has one very important component – a spike protein.  It’s the key player responsible for how the virus enters your body’s cells.

A study published in PubMed, a national library of scientific literature, shows evidence that spike proteins can cause inflammation and damage to cells and tissues throughout the body. This damage can lead to a variety of Long COVID symptoms, including fatigue, shortness of breath, brain fog, and muscle pain.

Scientists are also studying how spike proteins can cause Long COVID symptoms in different ways. One way is through the production of antibodies. Antibodies are proteins that the body produces to fight infection. However, in some cases, antibodies can attack healthy cells and tissues, causing inflammation and damage.

Another area of research is how spike proteins can affect the nervous system. Spike proteins have been found in the brains of people with long COVID. This suggests that spike proteins may be involved in the neurological symptoms of long COVID, such as brain fog and fatigue.

This research provides important insights into how Long COVID can develop, what post-pandemic factors cause it, and how those who have it can be helped to regain their health.

By understanding the causes, scientists can develop more effective treatments and improve the lives of those who are living with this condition.

The Holistic Approach to Post-Pandemic Health Factors

Dr. Freddie Ulan, founder of Nutrition Response Testing® has been actively researching this topic. Many N.R.T.® practitioners are reporting that upwards of fifty percent of their patients now have symptoms caused by post-pandemic factors. This is not surprising, as the CDC recently stated that one in five American adults who have had COVID-19 have Long COVID symptoms.

As a result of Dr. Ulan’s research, the Nutrition Response Testing analysis has been updated to specifically address Post-Pandemic Factors that may be impacting your health and correcting them with safe and natural means so these factors do not get in the way of attaining and maintaining optimum health.

Free Nutrition Assessment

Functional Nutrition is a common-sense approach to health based on the philosophy that food is medicine. Everybody requires vitamins, minerals, essential fatty acids and protein to build and maintain optimal health. Nutrition from food is a key to health; we don’t consider synthetic vitamins nutrition. When a body has chronic symptoms, in natural medicine, we know that it is already 80% compromised; meaning the symptoms show up after the body system has been weakened for a while.

We offer a complimentary Nutrition Assessment to help evaluate which specific body systems-digestive, nervous, cardiovascular, endocrine, and others-are at the root cause of the adverse symptoms. This assessment will ask you to rate the symptoms that you are having on a 0 to 3 scale. There are 200 questions to assess your nutritional needs from a whole-body perspective. Your results will be emailed to you. You will also receive a schedule suggesting nutrient rich supplments from Standard Process and herbal products from MediHerb to provide your body with the support it needs to regain and maintain your natural health and become symptom free.
