Despite homeopathy’s remarkable safety record, the FDA continues to take targeted actions that threaten access to homeopathic medicines. Remedies that have been used for generations—without toxic side effects—remain vulnerable under the current regulatory approach.
The FDA has singled out certain homeopathic remedies—like Nux Vomica, Belladonna, Mercurius Solubilis, and Arsenicum Album—as potentially “risky” because they use toxic starting materials despite the fact that these medicines are the safest group of drugs that FDA regulates.
In more than 200 years of use there has never been a single documented case of a death or serious injury from homeopathic medicines. That’s how safe they are.
