Ancient Poem Asks Questions Relevant For Today

Lao Tzu – Tao Te Ching

Can you coax your mind from its wandering and keep to the original oneness?

Can you let your body become supple as a newborn child’s?

Can you cleanse your inner vision until you see nothing but the light?

Can you love people and lead them without imposing your will?

Can you deal with the most vital matters by letting events take their course?

Can you step back from your own mind and thus understand all things?

Giving birth and nourishing, having without possessing, acting with no expectations,

leading and not trying to control, this is the supreme virtue.

By Lao Tzu, a 6th-century sage who authored the Tao Te Ching, an ancient classic Chinese text

Love Loves

Love is the Greatest healer

Nature’s Perfect Design

When I was 7 years old, I had an epiphany in my father’s rhubarb garden.  As I observed the rhubarb’s root and shoot system burst forth from the earth and open itself to the warm spring air and sunshine I found great delight in nature’s perfect design!  As the rhubarb was reaching for the light from the earth below, it also blessed me with a model that set my professional foundation.  At the time, I didn’t know that my life path would lead me up the natural doctor and healer route.

Like the rhubarb, the human body is a miracle fashioned with nature’s intrinsic design.  As beings of nature, we require the bounty and beauty of nature to flourish.  When we give ourselves the care that nature intended for us–real whole food nutrition, pure water from nature, natural breathing and exercises–we can harness our natural energy, exude our fresh beauty and have our heart and mind strong to live fully and reach for our highest aspirations.  When we come together with others who are also living from this natural wisdom, our synergistic effect has a greater influence for ourselves, for others and for our world.
